Hello everyone! I’m back with an update.

It’s been 5 weeks since being released from my doctor to exercise and starting my 90 Day Get Lean Program and let me tell you, it has been challenging to say the least. And I’m

not just talking about the workouts! There have been plenty of days where I haven’t been able to get my workouts in or that my eating hasn’t been perfect. Oh and not to mention there are days where I get in a funk where I feel like I will never fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes, which I’m sure some of you can relate to. With becoming a new mom these are a whole new set of challenges for me. Making time for my workouts and making time to eat. There are some days where I look back at the day and realized I haven’t eaten very much. I am making it a point now to log my food to make sure I am getting in enough calories to sustain my milk supply (recommend at least 1,800 calories a day) and eating enough to lose fat as well. This I feel is somewhat of a science and a perfect balance. I have been doing a pretty good job of figuring it all out thus far and I have been documenting it so I can help all of my breastfeeding mommies out there! Since you burn anywhere between 200-500 calories breastfeeding you have to add additional calories to your diet to keep your milk supply and to keep your metabolism up too. I know from many years of personal training that your mental attitude has just as much to do with your success as the nutrition and workouts, so I know how important it is to stay positive.

I can now see how all of my clients have feel or have felt in the past. It is easy to get down on yourself and tell yourself you will never be able to get your body back to where it was before. On those days I just look at my progress pictures and see how far I have already come in such a short period of time. This is why I recommend to take progress pictures to all my clients no matter how embarrassed you may feel to take them. Believe me it’s not the easiest thing to do to post these pictures for the world to see. I choose to share my progress with you to show you that I am only human, just like you. I have had my share of struggles but one thing is for sure. I WILL NEVER QUIT! No matter how long it takes me to get to my goal.

I hope you all will do the same. Whatever it is in life. Whether its losing weight, making more time for your family, eating healthy…just make the choice to never quit. I choose to take it one day at a time. There’s no other way to do it when you become a mom and a little human depends on you for everything.

Here’s to NEVER quitting no matter how long it takes and to always strive to be a better version of ourselves everyday :)
