Isagenix Celebration 2012 was the first time I saw the amazing transformations that
were a result of the IsaBody Challenge. I was sitting in my chair feeling such a sense of
pride for all of the participants who had lost almost half of their body weight. At that
moment there was never a thought in my mind about entering into the challenge. From
the looks of it the challenge was for people who had a significant amount of weight to
It wasn’t until I started talking to other associates about the challenge that I really
started seeing what the IsaBody Challenge was all about. The challenge was for
everyone, no matter what weight or goal.
I had recently gotten engaged in October and with the wedding planning came stress
and not eating or incorporating my Isagenix products into my diet. I remember it like it
was yesterday. I chased down the UPS man to get my wedding dress and I was so
excited to try it on. I opened the box and put it on. The dress that I was fitted for a
couple months ago would barely zip! It fit like a really tight glove. I thought to myself,
“Oh no! I’m not going to be able to sit at my wedding!” It was on February 23, 2013 I
decided to enter the IsaBody Challenge. I had two months to really buckle down and
lose weight. The next day I took my before pictures, measurements, and body fat and I
submitted them for the challenge. I had prepped for fitness shows in the past, but this
was different. This was the most important show of my life.
I started publicly posting about my journey here and social media to hold
myself accountable. Through social media I feel I was able to motivate and inspire
others to set goals. People would reach out to me and ask me what the challenge was
about and how they could be a part of it too. Throughout my challenge I posted to
Instagram, Facebook, Twitter hash tagging #broadcastit and #isabody. To tell you the
truth, I was a little hesitant to broadcast my before picture for all of the internet to see.
What would my clients and followers think of me gaining weight?!
I wanted to be real with myself and all of my clients and followers. If I could show them that personal trainers struggle just like them, maybe it would inspire them to enter the challenge and set their own personal goal. Being a personal trainer and gym owner there is added pressure of looking fit and lean all the time. The truth is that life happens to us too! We fall off the wagon and sometimes put on unwanted pounds. I have used the IsaBody Challenge as a way to hold myself accountable and to show my clients that no matter what goal you set you should follow through with it.
I met my goal before my wedding and have maintained ever since! I am down 13lbs and 4% body fat. I have lost 1 inch in my waist and 2.25 inches in my hips (which was were my dress was tight, lol. I also lost 1.5 inches in my thighs and 1/2 inch in my arms. I felt the most comfortable I’ve ever felt on my wedding day! I’m so glad I decided to enter this challenge, it was the extra motivation I needed. :)
